Plastic machinery covers the equipment that turns resin into parts and profiles: injection moulding machines, extruders, blow moulding lines, and the auxiliary units that keep them running — chillers, dryers, granulators, temperature controllers and robots. Buyers here usually compare clamping force, screw and shot size, drive type and after-sales support in their own country, so check those four before the price.

Matching a Machine to Your Mould and Your Part

The single most common purchasing error is buying tonnage you do not need, or buying too little and discovering it at the trial. Selection starts from the part and the mould, not from the catalogue.

Specification Details Buyers Regret Skipping

Auxiliary Equipment Decides Uptime

Buyers focus on the main machine and then lose days to a failed chiller. A practical auxiliary set for a moulding cell includes a mould temperature controller, a hopper dryer and dehumidifier for hygroscopic resins, a granulator, a chiller sized to the heat load, and a robot or take-out device if cycle time is tight. Size the chiller from the actual heat load, not from the machine's tonnage.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I buy a new or used injection moulding machine from China?

New machines carry a warranty and a known history, and Chinese domestic brands now cover the common tonnage ranges well. Used machines can be good value, but you need an inspection that covers screw and barrel wear, tie-bar condition, hydraulic leaks and controller faults — and photographs are not an inspection.

How long does delivery take, and what Incoterm should I use?

Standard models usually ship faster than custom configurations, but the honest answer comes from the proforma invoice with a stated delivery date. For machinery, FOB is common for experienced buyers; CIF suits a first import where you would rather not arrange heavy freight yourself. Confirm who handles unloading at destination in either case.

Will the machine work on my plant's power supply?

Only if you specify it. Voltage, frequency, phase and control voltage must be stated in the order and confirmed on the nameplate before shipment. Converting a machine after arrival is possible but adds cost and delay.

What support should I expect after delivery?

At minimum: a manual in your language, a spare parts list with part numbers, remote troubleshooting, and a defined response time for warranty claims. Ask for the name and contact of the service channel in writing, and test it before you pay the balance.
